Ste-Cécile Dance Studio has been a recognizable force in the Windsor dance community since 1979, a place where toddlers, teenagers, and adults dance and learn alongside each other with acclaimed teachers. Rooted in South Windsor, Ste-Cécile Dance Studio is housed on a historically significant property, featuring spacious, column-free studios ( 2 with Harlequin floors, 1 with hardwood) and an in-house state-of-the-art facility, The Grand Hall, available for rentals, showcases and performances .
Ste-Cécile Dance Studio is the culmination of years of hard work and a firm belief in dance as a positive force. The integration of the traditional technique classes offered alongside the current dance styles has enabled the school to maintain its original premise: offering dance education with integrity and high quality, without being compromised by commercialism. It is the vision and a source of inspiration for those who want to make dance an important part of their lives.
Ste-Cécile Dance Studio offers a wide spectrum of over 39 dance classes and in various techniques and styles Mon-Sat, catering to toddler-adult students, on all levels. Private classes are also available.
The Philosophy of the Dance Studio is to provide students of all ages a caring atmosphere in which they can learn and grow as individuals as well as artists.
Gain confidence, poise, and a love and understanding of the art of dance. Serious students will be encouraged to prepare for their Cecchetti ballet exams. These are externally examined by the Cecchetti Society of Canada who have international recognition and are committed to the highest standards of training for dancers and teachers.
There are so many benefits of dancing! Improve your muscle tone, strength, posture, flexibility, coordination and weight management. An elegant carriage of the body and self-confidence emerge through the art of dance. The dance experience becomes an outlet for creativity and a way to express oneself.
We strive to create an atmosphere that is loving, respectful, challenging and enjoyable for all. Everyone is given personal attention and is made to feel at home.

COSTUMES & PERFORMANCES
Our annual dance rehearsals and recitals will be held during the first weekend in June. Location to be announced at a later date. A costume fee is required and will be added to your Term 2 payment. This fee is required in order to participate in the recital. A balance may be due upon receipt of the costume. Costume deposits are non-refundable.
Regular attendance and participation is required by all students. A student’s personal progress as well as class performance is a reflection of proper attendance. All students are encouraged to progress at their own abilities. The more classes taken, the faster the progress. You will be notified if your child is ready to be tested and move into the next level. Class placement will be decided by the teacher.
Most tap, ballet and jazz classes are based on an educational graded dance system of instructions with frequent exam sessions to show accomplishments. ONLY A TEACHER CAN DETERMINE IF YOUR CHILD IS READY TO TAKE AN EXAM. Students will be notified if eligible, and a fee will apply. All examinations take place in the spring.

Dear Families and Dancers,
We are excited to start registration for the 2022-2023 season!
As always, your safety and health is our number one concern so please be assured that rooms are sanitized regularly, we have large HEPA UV air filtration units in all dance studios; washrooms are auto flush and have automatic sinks; water refill stations for your water bottles are touchless as well. Our studios are large so everyone has space to safely distance from each other and we have hand sanitizing stations throughout the building.
