Thomas Green

Thomas Green teaches intermediate and senior piano, theory, harmony, music history and anaylsis. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University, a Master’s in Performance from the Université de Montréal and a Ph.D. in Music History from Brandeis University. He studied piano under Clifford Poole in Toronto and under Yvonne Hubert in Montréal. Following teaching engagements at McGill University and University of Toronto, he taught music history and theory for many years at the University of Windsor. A former Editor-in-Chief at The Frederick Harris Music Company and Chief Examiner at The Royal Conservatory, he has conducted examinations and workshops and adjudicated in festivals across Canada and as far afield as St. Pierre et Miquelon, Bermuda and Korea. Dr. Green is an Adler Trained Professional Coach. His students and former students include Royal Conservatory gold medalists, ARCT graduates, festival winners, young professionals and enthusiasts of all ages. Dr. Green looks forward to welcoming students for the 2021-2022 academic year.
