Lauren Vanderley is a first year student (Bachelor of Social Work) at the University of Windsor, and is excited to offer violin lessons at Académie Ste-Cécile. Lauren has studied violin for 14 years, beginning with the Suzuki method. After completing Suzuki level 5, Lauren continued her studies with Arkady Yanivker (Toronto Symphony Orchestra), completing RCM level 9, and further honing her skills as a performer with Anna Kostyuchek (Los Angeles Master Chorale Orchestra).
Lauren was a previous member of the La Jeunesse Youth Orchestra, Durham Youth Orchestra, Los Angeles Youth Orchestra and concertmaster of Verdugo Youth Orchestra. Lauren began teaching violin in 2017, drawing on past experiences with both the Suzuki method and Russian style of violin, focusing on posture and technique, while ensuring that material is engaging, relevant – and fun!
