Julian Jeun

Julian is a percussionist and drummer originally hailing from Windsor, Ontario. After earning a Bachelor of Music from McGill University and a D.E.S.S. (Graduate Diploma) from Université de Montréal, Julian won his first orchestra position as Principal Timpanist with the Thunder Bay Symphony. In 2005 he won the position of Principal Percussion with the Windsor Symphony while also serving as the Production Manager for the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in Toronto. Subsequently, Julian has also won and is currently percussionist with the Niagara Symphony Orchestra (St. Catharine’s, ON) and the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra (Michigan). From 2009-10 and 2017-18 Julian was invited to act as Principal Percussionist for the Victoria Symphony (BC). As the drummer in the Neptunes trio aboard Holland America Cruise Lines he sailed the world on the MS Zaandam and the maiden voyage of the MS Nieuw Amsterdam; visiting ports such as San Diego, Hawaii, Venice, Istanbul, Santorini, Mykonos and Barcelona. In addition to his private teaching studio Julian has taught undergraduate students at University of Windsor, Lakehead University (Thunder Bay). Julian is honoured to be added to the teaching roster at Académie Ste-Cécile Music School.
